Lighting

The tank is lighted by a Giesemann 260 pendant system with 2-250 watt HQI
bulbs and 2-42 watt NO actinc bulbs.

Under The Tank

The sump and refugium are fed from a Durso standpipe in the overflow. I use
a GRI 518 pump for water return. For skimming I use a Lifereef SVS-24
in-sump model and calcium and alkalinity are maintained with a Korallin 1501
calcium reactor with a Geo 2nd stage.

Controller and Plug Box

An Octopus Controller directs the lighting, water replacement, and other timed equipment. It also monitors pH and tank temperature. The electrical and plug box has twelve individual GFI protected units and was designed and built by Rick Beauregard.

Water Replacement

Evaporation is replenished using a SpectaPure LiterMeter dosing unit drawing
kalk water from three 2 1/2 gallon containers. Make up water is dosed from
7:30pm to 9:00am for pH stabilization.

Water Circulation

For water movement in the tank I use six MaxiJet 1200 powerheads which are
controlled by a Red Sea wavemaker and a Tunze 7410 powerhead and controller.
